Like every other Metroid game the plot goes like this: Federation finds metroids/X in some remote planet -> ask Samus for help -> Samus goes to planet -> shit happens -> planet gets destroyed.

- Complete the Boss Rush mode
- Complete the game with all item expansions
- Complete the game defeating all bosses
- Complete the game with all item expansions and defeating all bosses
- Complete the game without any item expansion
- Complete the game defeating all bosses without any item expansion
