Rules
GENERAL RULES
- Getting hit by any person, infected, dogs and rats is a hit.
- Death from fall damage or jumping into the void to death is considered a hit.
- Blocking is a hit, a perfect block (parry) is not.
- Damage taken from the barbed wire is a hit.
- Taking damage from fences, electric rails and fall damage is only damage as long as you don't die.
- Any loss of health is considered damage
- The run must be fresh started, every time you get hit you need to restart from the main menu. You can't load a quick save at the beginning.
- The official difficulty is Normal, from here everyone can decide whether to add more or leave it in the official one.
- The Dishonored LiveSplit component that speeds up the game and LRT timer to 10x speed is allowed for submissions. (You can found it in Resources).
GLITCHLESS RULES
- Whale Oil Climbing is forbidden
- Use blink to go through walls that are solid is forbidden
- Leaving the boundaries of the map is forbidden
SPEEDRUN RULES
- Runs submitted on PC are required to use LiveSplit in the video submission for time without loads. If load removed time (LRT) isn’t shown in the video the run will not be valid for leaderboards.
- Make sure your LiveSplit is set to "Game Time" under "Compare Against".
- LRT is used to measure time, currently Dishonored does not provide any way to view IGT (sorry console users).
- Timing starts when the initial cutscene begins.
- The speedrun is considered complete at either:
- The moment of interaction with Emily's door in the lighthouse, triggering the final cutscene
- The moment you lose control after interacting with Havelock / Emily in the high chaos ending.
