Rules
GENERAL RULES
- A Hit is defined by a loss of health and/or stagger caused by an enemy.
- Hits from player triggered traps count, environmental damage does not (Static features as lava, water, swamp, spikes, campfires are fine).
- While fall damage does not count, a death from falling will.
- Blocking an enemy counts as a hit, but a pefect parry/deflect does not.
- Summon other players is forbidden, but NPC summons are allowed.
DAMAGELESS RULES
- Blocking an enemy attack or projectile is allowed.
- Anything that makes you lose health will end your run.
HITLESS & DAMAGELESS RULES
- All of the Hitless & Damageless rules apply.
SPECIFIC RULES FOR DEMON'S SOULS
- Playing on emulator is allowed. Using the 60 fps mod is allowed.
- Leechmonger’s arena drain that occurs when standing in the swamp to fight him does not count as a hit.
- Plague swamp in the Maiden Astraea fight does not count as a hit.
- Killing bosses from outside of the arena is forbidden.
- For XY-Only runs, e.g. Weapon XY Only, Magic Only, etc., attacking and/or damaging enemies is only allowed with the Only-Weapon as well as fists and consumables. Usage of other tools like a bow for aiming or baiting enemies due to shooting at the environment is allowed.
- Obtaniaible or not at early game, the player is allowed to adquire the desired unupgraded weapon for their Weapon XY Only run, at the start of the game, using external software if you're playing on emulator. F.E: Storm Ruler is only available upon getting to the Storm King boss fight. The player can decide either getting there using fists + consumables, following the rule below, or cheating the weapon at start of the game.
- For XY-Only runs where you don't get your weapon/spell at the start of the run, attacking and/or damaging enemies with your starting equipment is allowed up until you get your weapon/spell of choice. F.E: You can use your starting equipment in a Miracles Only run to kill Phalanx, Adjudicator, Armored Spider, Flamelurker and Dragon God since these are all required to get your first and only damaging miracle. Using your starting equipment for any other purpose is not allowed. F.E: You can't use your starting equipment to get the Clever Rat Ring if Latria is not a requiered step to get to your weapon/spell of choice.
- Some weapons are rare drops with a very low chance of obtaining them. For their Weapon XY Only run on emulator, the player is allowed to either modify the weapon droprate/cheat the weapon in the inventory, after they defeated the enemy with fist + consumables or following the rule above. F.E: Obtaining Gargoyle Crossbow using CE.
- Storm King may be killed using Storm Ruler in any run even if you have other means to kill it. F.E: You could kill Storm King with Soul Ray in a Magic Only run but you may use Storm Ruler instead.
